I am using Ubuntu 10.10 and I installed the last version of Pidgin (2.7.9). Everything works fine but not file transfer from pidgin to yahoo messenger and back. After some googleing I found a lot of possible solutions. No result for me. I figured it out very easy, I disabled my firewall. This is not a very good solution, yahoo file transfer is blocked by my firewall, I don't know how to enable the firewall and allow the port for file transfers, so if you have a solution, please replay to this post.
